Who makes the work
Laurel is responsible for the calculators and field notes published under the Yard & Loop name. Individual author or maker-review credits are shown only when that work has actually occurred.
How calculators are reviewed
Calculator code is checked with repeatable examples, boundary tests, unit-conversion tests, and a review of every rounding step. Where practice varies, we state the assumption instead of presenting one convention as universal. A tool is described as maker-tested only after a person has reconstructed and checked a real project from its output.
Sources
We prefer standards bodies, original manufacturer specifications, and established teaching organizations. Community posts may reveal a useful question, but they do not become authority for a technical claim. Sources are linked at the end of the relevant field note.
AI and automation
Automation may assist drafting, code, source checks, or test generation. We disclose human maker review only when it has occurred, and readers should verify a plan against their own material and pattern before purchasing or cutting.
Corrections
Material errors are corrected promptly and noted on the affected page with a date and plain-language description. Readers can report an issue through the contact page. We do not quietly change a formula that could alter a purchasing result.
Advertising and affiliates
Ads are visually labeled and kept outside calculator inputs and primary actions. Advertisers do not preview or approve editorial work. Product links are editorial by default; any compensated relationship is disclosed close to the link.
